I have a deep love for Julia Child. I always have. And then I read My Life in France and was blown away by her sheer will and determination. Her convictions ran much deeper than food. I also read Julia and Julia and loved it; after reading it, there was a brief period where it felt like I could do anything.
I really, really want this movied to be good, but seeing Meryl Streep in this preview feels like watching a caricature of of Ms. Child. Then it again, it seems nearly impossible for anyone to truly capture Julia Child in voice, stature, and personality. We shall see.
